Truck Registration Requirements and RFID Compliance

Dear Valued Trucking Companies,

APM Terminals Bahrain would like to inform all registered trucking companies of the requirements and procedures for registering container trucks and drivers in the APM Terminals system.

Registration Requirements

To ensure smooth and timely processing of registration requests, please note the following requirements:

1. Driver Registration
   • A valid CPR copy is required.
   • A copy of the driver's ID card data document must be provided.
2. New Truck Registration – Without RFID Tag
   For newly registered trucks that do not have an RFID Tag, the trucking company must approach the Customer Care Department to collect the required RFID Tag.
3. Transferred Trucks – Existing RFID Tag
   For trucks transferred from one trucking company to another that are already equipped with an RFID Tag, the existing RFID Tag may be used for registration under the new trucking company.
4. Vehicle Ownership Certificate
   A valid Vehicle Ownership Certificate must be provided for all truck registration requests.
5. Incomplete Registration Requests
   Registration requests submitted with incomplete or missing information/supporting documents will not be processed.

RFID Compliance Requirement

Please note that all currently registered trucks without an RFID Tag will be automatically deactivated three (3) weeks from the date of this advisory.

Any subsequent request to reactivate a deactivated truck will be subject to the applicable charges and registration requirements.

Submission of Registration Requests

Please complete the attached Truck and Driver Registration Template and submit it along with all required supporting documents to:

Requests submitted without the completed template and required documents will not be processed.
We kindly request all trucking companies to ensure compliance with the above requirements to avoid any disruption to their operations.
